Non Ferrous castings

Non-ferrous casting is a process of casting metals that do not contain significant iron content, such as aluminum, copper, zinc, and titanium.

These metals offer benefits like lightweight properties, corrosion resistance, and high conductivity. Common casting methods include sand casting, die casting, investment casting, and permanent mold casting.

Non-ferrous castings are widely used in aerospace, automotive, electronics, and medical industries. Their durability and resistance to rust make them ideal for high-performance and precision components.

Material

  • Brass
  • Copper
  • Nickel
  • Bronze
  • Aluminum

Moulding Process

The moulding process for non-ferrous casting involves creating a mould cavity using materials like sand, metal, or ceramic. A pattern is used to shape the mould, which is then filled with molten non-ferrous metal. After cooling and solidification, the mould is removed, and the casting is cleaned and finished. Common methods include sand casting, die casting, and investment casting.
